Adult Formation

Are you, or do you know someone who…
Has expressed an interest in becoming Catholic?
Was baptized Catholic as a child, but has not celebrated the Sacraments of Confirmation and Eucharist?

In St. Mary’s Order of Christian Initiation for Adults (OCIA) program, we offer small group sessions designed to introduce (or re-introduce) the Faith to those who seek full communion with the Catholic Church. Sessions focus on the wisdom and experiences of the Church and prepare individuals to celebrate the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist.

Our first gathering will take place on Monday, August 26th from 6:30-8:00pm at the Parish Center. We invite you to come explore our OCIA community and share your questions, your insights, and your faith story in a warm, welcoming setting.

These gatherings are for teens and adults, 15 years and older. Children attend their own sessions on Thursday evenings from 5:30-7:00pm, and will be registered in the Order of Christian Initiation for Adults Adapted for Children (OCIA-C) program.

There is no cost to join the OCIA program, but participants will need a Catholic Study Bible for the sessions. We use and recommend the NABRE, The Catholic Study Bible, 3rd Edition (Oxford University Press, ISBN: 978-0-19-026723-0).
